A-1 Portable Buildings, A Short History of A-1 Portable Buildings

A-1 has its roots in a small garbage collection company formed by my grandfather, R.B. Carroll, around 1935. In 1953 his son-in-law and my father, O.T. Reynolds, purchased a portion of the collection route to begin his own operation at Reynolds Garbage Collection.

In 1971, after graduating from Eastern KY University, I joined the business now known as A-1 Portable Buildings. Over the years our company has evolved into its present operation as a major supplier of Mobile Offices, Storage Containers and Portable Restrooms, with operations in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky. A-1 is now managed by the fourth generation of our family, my son and daughter, Brian and Maryanne.
